Pilot Project
As part of our ongoing search for a pilot project site, we recently explored a property being sold by the University of Sheffield. Located on Glossop Road in the city centre, the building is currently used as offices, but presented an exciting opportunity to upgrade the building’s performance and transform it into housing and workspace.

Footwork
At the end of 2024 Sheffield CLT were accepted onto Footwork’s People and Place Programme set up to bring together a network of community innovators and provide mentorship, as well as funded technical sessions & group visits. Community Ownership Workshop
We recently ran a workshop focusing on community ownership in Sheffield, with a key theme being the unaffordability of land, housing and other spaces, and the challenges this poses for many Sheffield residents and organisations.We invited over 20 representatives from different community-led, housing, co-operative and charitable projects around Sheffield to join us.
